- Broad Specificity: 2D4 detects both native and deamidated (chemically modified) forms of gluten. It shows near-equivalent reactivity against gliadin, hordein, and secalin.
- Superior Recognition: Although 2D4 and R5 have similar binding profiles for native wheat, barley and rye, the 2D4 antibody displays superior recognition of deamidated gluten.
